Hose Competition

2 Person Team Hose Competition

Hydrant hookup with 2 ½  inch gate valve.  Three sections of hose will be laid out with couplings turned back. Each team will couple these sections of pre-laid hose, attach nozzle, turn on gate valve  (hydrant will be open), and knock down target.  Shut off gate valve, remove the nozzle, uncouple hose, turn back the couplings on top of the hose.  All conditions to be the same as at the start of the drill, then return to the starting line.  Time ends for each team when the last person crosses the start line.

4 Person Team Hose Competition

Each team shall remove hydrant cap from gate valve, attach hose to gate valve, couple the three sections of hose, attach nozzle, turn on gate valve and knock down the first  target.  Shut off the gate valve, uncouple the first section and hook into pumper,  change to number two nozzle,  open gate valve and knock down the second target.  This completes the evolution.  No pumping operations will be required.  Water will pass through the pump at hydrant pressure.
